There is also an entry for a Hugh Blackwood born in 1722, son of James Blackwood of Greenockmains and Janet Peadin. Greenockmains is in the parish of Muirkirk; Sorn may have been Janet Peadin’s home parish.
There is an entry in the OPR for Jean Bryce daughter of Thomas Bryce of Glenbuck and Marion Jamie, born 30 November 1748.
According to their daughter Jane’s birth registration, Hugh and Jean lived at West Glenbuck, Muirkirk, Ayrshire.

Jane, more usually known as Jean, married Gilbert Anderson. They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Muirkirk on 4 September 1801.
Jane, widowed, is at Townhead Farm, Muirkirk on the 1841, 1851 and 1861 Census. She died at Townhead Farm on 13 January 1870, age 89.
