Allan Howie‘s parents are unknown. He was born in Renfrewshire c.1763.

Janet Findlay‘s parents and place of birth are unknown. She was born c.1779.

Allan and Janet were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Neilston, Renfrewshire on 21 March 1800.

Allan and Janet are at Muirshiel Farm, Mearns, Renfrewshire on the 1841 Census.

Elizabeth Howie, born in Neilston, Renfrewshire on 9 November 1800.

Robert Howie, born in Neilston, Renfrewshire and baptised on 8 August 1802.

Robert died in infancy.

Robert Howie, born at Shawhill Farm, Mearns, Renfrewshire on 26 February 1804.

Robert married Isabella Craig (b. Flender Farm, Mearns, Renfrewshire on 30 November 1809), daughter of John Craig and Jean McFarlane. They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Mearns on 26 March 1830.

Robert possibly died before 1841.

Isabella married again, to John Gilmour (b. Carsewell, Neilston, Renfrewshire c.1819). They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Neilston on 1 June 1839 and in Glasgow on 19 June 1839.

Isabella and John emigrated to America and settled in Oswego Township, Kendall County, Illinois.

Isabella died in Kendall County on 12 November 1869, age 59.

John died in Oswego Township on 8 July 1900, age 81.
