George Finlayson and Margaret Anderson‘s places and dates of birth and the names of their parents are not known.

George and Margaret were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Dunfermline, Fife on 18 November 1832.

The Finlayson family are difficult to locate on the 1841 and 1851 census. George and Margaret have not been located, and see below for slightly less sparse details of their children.

Marion Finlayson, born in Dunfermline, Fife on 5 February 1833.

Marion is possibly in Brucefield Feus, Garvock, Dunfermline on the 1841 Census. She is with the Anderson family, who may be relatives of her mother. She is possibly a House Servant at Downie Place in Edinburgh on the 1851 Census.

Marion married Thomas Drummond (b. Glasgow, Lanarkshire c.1833). They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Dunfermline on 17 January 1853.

Marion and Thomas are in Pittencrieff Street, Dunfermline on the 1861 and 1871 Census. Thomas and Marion are Damask Linen Weavers.

Marion died at 99 Pittencrieff Street on 15 January 1873, age 39.

Thomas married again, he is at School Row, Dunfermline on the 1881 Census with wife Christina Montier/Mentier (b. Dunfermline, Fife c.1843). His occupation is now Coal Miner.

Margaret Finlayson, born in Dunfermline, Fife on 3 October 1835.

Margaret is possibly a House Servant in Limekilns, Fife on the 1851 Census.

Margaret had a daughter to John Dick c.1860.

Margaret married John McFarlane (b.c.1839), Joiner, son of Robert McFarlane and Elizabeth Sanderson in the Canongate, Edinburgh on 18 November 1862.

Margaret died at 84 Baker Street, Stirling, Stirlingshire on 18 July 1901, age 65.
