Robert Weir married Margaret McKinlay (b.c.1774). They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Old Cumnock on 4 September 1798.
Robert, now widowed, is at Bridgend Farm, Auchinleck, Ayrshire on the 1851 Census. He is possibly there as well on the 1841 Census, but the census records for Auchinleck in that year are lost.
Margaret died on 21 April 1817, age 43.
Robert died on 13 September 1854, age 81.

Marion Weir, born in Old Cumnock, Ayrshire on 5 May 1793. The OPR record states Marion lawful daughter of James Weir and Jean Mitchel in Dalblair in parish of Auchinleck lately in Blackfauld of this parish.

James died on 30 June 1810.

In memory of James Weir, late in Auchingibert.
Who died the 30th June 1810 aged 72 years.
James’s son Robert was in Auchingibbert at the time of his marriage.
