Isabella married Robert Howie (b. at Shawhill Farm, Mearns, Renfrewshire on 26 February 1804), son of Allan Howie and Janet Findlay. They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Mearns on 26 March 1830.
Robert possibly died before 1841.
Isabella married again, to John Gilmour (b. Carsewell, Neilston, Renfrewshire c.1819). They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Neilston on 1 June 1839 and in Glasgow on 19 June 1839.
Isabella and John emigrated to America and settled in Oswego Township, Kendall County, Illinois.
Isabella died in Kendall County on 12 November 1869, age 59.
John died in Oswego Township on 8 July 1900, age 81.
