Robert Dick, born Cambuslang, Lanarkshire c.1759.

Robert’s parish and year of birth are estimated from the 1851 Census. A Robert Dick, son of John Dick, was born in the parish of Cambuslang on 30 November 1760, address unknown. The Cart Tax Rolls of 1788 and 1797 record a John Dick in Turnlaw. Also, Robert’s eldest son is named John.

Agnes Alexander, born East Kilbride, Lanarkshire on 10 March 1782, daughter of John Alexander and Agnes Stevenson.

Robert and Agnes were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Cambuslang on 15 June 1805.

Marion died in the Fever Hospital, Glasgow on 5 March 1873, age 55. Her usual address is 83 Taylor Street, Glasgow.

James died at Eastfield Farm on 8 September 1887, age 62.
