Robert and Jean were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of East Kilbride, Lanarkshire on 26 January 1783. Robert is from the neighbouring parish of Carmunnock.

Isabel(?) Reid

It is known, from the OPR entries for their other children (see below), that Robert and Jean had a child born between 1783 and 1785. A likely candidate is Isabel Reid, daughter of Robert Reid, born in Carmunnock on 2 May 1784.

Jean Reid, born in Carmunnock, Lanarkshire on 13 December 1785. According to the entry in the OPR, she is the second child of Robert and Jean.

Margaret Reid, born in Hole of Dripps, Carmunnock on 17 February 1788 and baptised on 24 February. According to the entry in the OPR, she is the third child of Robert and Jean.

Margaret married Gavin Semple, son of William Semple and Agnes Tennant. They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Avondale on 14 January 1809.

Margaret and Gavin are at West Drumloch Farm, Glassford on the 1841 and 1851 Census.

Gavin died in Glassford in 1857.

Margaret died at West Drumloch Farm on 15 February 1873, age 84.

Agnes Reid, born in Carmunnock, Lanarkshire on 23 May 1790.

Janet Reid, born in Glassford, Lanarkshire c.1792.

Janet married Thomas Watt, born in Glassford c.1791, son of Allan Watt and Mary Naismith.

Janet and and Thomas are at Shields Farm, East Kilbride on the 1841 and 1851 Census.

Janet died at Enoch Farm, Eaglesham, Renfrewshire on 15 February 1860, age 68.

Thomas is at Mid Enoch Farm, Eaglesham on the 1861 Census.

Thomas married again, to Janet Hunter. They were married in Eaglesham on 2 June 1861.

Thomas and Janet are at Over Enoch Farm, Eaglesham on the 1871 Census.

Janet died in Eaglesham in 1876.

Thomas died in Cheapside, Eaglesham on 11 January 1879, age 88.
